Yazmin and Danilo's Mommy and Me plus Birthday Portraits

Some of my most favorite combination of portraits when doing family sessions are the ones of the children with their parents. As a photographer, I have always been behind the camera capturing the moment for everyone else. It's rare when you get those images of you and your children and for that reason, I make it a priority. Yazmin did so well by planning her little boy's first birthday portraits to include herself. I was determined to give her some heartfelt, memorable images that she could cherish of the bond she and her son have together. Of course, through out.. we focused on just little Danilo because, after all.. he was the star of the show. We traveled a little outside of Houston to their family farm in Dayton. it was a dreary day and it sprinkled on us here and there but we captured the most beautiful images of both Yazmin and Danilo. They have a gorgeous field with wild flowers, which I thought was perfect for them to go and pick flowers and just play. There was another field where the horses were roaming around freely so we were able to capture them in the background. At the end we did a little cake smash, which Danilo throughly enjoyed. I love sessions like this!
