Lidia Bustillos' Maternity Session, Wowza!

This was such a memorable maternity session, definitely one for the books! Lidia booked a Bump to Baby package which comes with two sessions, the maternity and the newborn session. The day comes to do her portraits, she chose a nice wooded area and the beach near Pasadena, Tx. This package also comes with three different maternity gowns and she chose the huge blue ruffled dress, the tulle rose and the fitted black. The day turned out to be beautiful and everything was going smoothly until the very last shots. We made it to the beach, she was ready for me to take her portraits after fixing a few things and running back to my spot, I'm doing my thing just loving the wind, the angles.. I am in my zone! when all of a sudden the tide comes in all the way to where I was standing!! I look back at Lidia and the water was up to her waist! We were all in shock on how fast it all happened. I ran to get her son because although he was far, the water came super close to him. Lidia's sister had to grab my bag because of course, I just put it off to the side not thinking that the ocean would decide to drench us. Those were not the plans at all! lol! At this point, the sky was changing since the sun was setting and the colors all over the sky were so vibrant and beautiful! Lidia was already soaked and so we made the best out of the situation. We just kept on shooting and this resulted in some incredible shots! As for the blue dress.. may it rip. It definitely went out with a splash. lol!
